Stay and Play

Come and play.

Bring your little one to explore our Nursery and Reception classrooms and outside area, play together, and chat to our staff. It’s relaxed and informal, with no talks and no pressure. Just a chance to see how it feels.

When

Thursday 7th January 3.30 to 4.30
Come along any time during the hour.

Who it’s for

Families thinking about our Nursery or Reception class for September 2027. Younger brothers and sisters are welcome too.

What happens

Our staff will say hello when you arrive. Then it’s over to your child: the classrooms, the toys, the outside area. Talk to our Early Years team about anything you’d like to know, from settling in to wraparound care. Nursery families often look round Reception too.

Booking

It helps us to know roughly how many to expect, so please let us know you’re coming.

Where to come

Carlton Colville Primary School, Gisleham Road, Carlton Colville, Lowestoft NR33 8DG. There’s usually space in the main school car park. If it’s full, there’s an overflow car park just down the road, but please come to the school first.

To change your booking, please ring the office on 01502 572682.

Other ways to come and see us

Stay and play is a lovely way to come with your child and see how they’d fit in. Most parents also like to come on a small, informal tour with Mr Sparks, and many come to the open morning too.

A tour with Mr Sparks.

A 30-minute walk round with our headteacher in a small group, while the children are in class. Mornings and afternoons, every week until Christmas.

Open morning.

See the whole school in action during a normal school day. Tuesday 24 November, 10–11am.
