Finding a school and applying for a place can sometimes seem a complex process but we hope the information below will make it really easy to navigate this important life step. Our friendly office team are only at the end of the phone or pop in and see us and we will assist in any way we can.

There are 3 main ways of joining us:

Joining Nursery

Nursery ProspectusOur Nursery accepts children from the age of 3 and applications are made directly to the school using the application form above. Our nursery prospectus is also included above which should answer many of the questions you may have.

Please note that admission into our Nursery does not guarantee admission into Reception and a seperate application is required for that.

Please return the application form to the school.

Normal Year of Entry (Reception September Intake)

CAF 1 Online Link

Carlton Colville Primary School is a two form entry school with a Published Admission Number (PAN) of 60. Suffolk County Council co-ordinates all Normal Year of Entry Admissions into Reception and communicates all admission decisions to parents.

The advantages of applying online are that you:

will receive confirmation of your application by email
can check or change your application right up to the closing date
can view the outcome of your application online on the offer day
will receive an email with details of your school offer on the offer day

We can supply a paper copy of CAF1 if needed but recomend online application

Online application is made directly to Suffolk

ADM1 In Year Application Form

Our school is part of the Hartismere Family of Schools. Carlton Colville Primary is it's own admissions authority and processes its own in -year admissions applications. You can apply for a place for your child at any time.
We strongly reccomend you visit the school before making an application and our school office will be happy to arrange this for you and answer any questions you have.
Please download the form ADM1 from the link and return the form to the school

We aim to notify you in writing of the outcome of your application within 10 school days of recieving it. Once a place has been made available for your child you must take it by the agreed date or the offer could be withdrawn and the place reallocated.
Should your application be unsuccesful you have a legal right of appeal and these details are available of Suffolk County Council's website.
